Alice Mohr and John Mohr

There will be a Celebration of Life for Alice Mohr, 82, and John Mohr, 78, of Carroll at Rooster's Steakhouse and Grill in Carroll on Sunday May 26  from 3 - 5 p.m.

Memorials and condolences can be forwarded to Hasemann Funeral Home 302 North Lincoln Street Wayne, Neb.  68787.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.

Alice died Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel. She donated her body for Medical Science. John died Feb. 22, 2018 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne. He donated his body for Medical Science.

Alice Jean was born Dec. 3, 1936 the second daughter of Fred H. and Helen (Dorr) Maurer. After high school graduation in 1954, she attended Wayne State College and taught school for nine years. In 1957 she married Everett Davis and helped in his produce station and trucking line. Everett died in 1986. Alice was a Jack ("Jill") of all trades. In addition to the above, she worked for several years at various restaurants in her area. She mowed many lawns, including the Carroll Cemetery, managed the low income housing, wall papered and painted, did many sewing, knitting and crocheted projects and donated hundreds of stocking caps, quilts, and plastic mats for the homeless.

Her final gift was the donation of her body to the Anatomical Board for medical research.

She married John Mohr in 1998.  John died Feb. 22, 2018.

Survivors include her sister, Anita Dover of Lincoln;  step-daughter,  Laurie Johnson of Shenandoah, Iowa; sister-in-law, Cleo Snyder of Omaha; nieces,  Kyle Dover,  Kelli Ladd and  Julie Contreras;  nephews, Kevin Dover and  Loren Nelson; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by  her parents; a sister, Marie; infant sister, Mary Ann; and her husbands.
