David Elmer Peterson
David Elmer Peterson, 37, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Wakefield, died of natural causes at his home in Portland on Monday, May 11, 2020.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the services.
David was born Aug. 20, 1982 in Wakefield, the son of Gary and Glenda (Haglund) Petersen. He attended school in Wakefield, graduating in 2001. He attended Wayne State College and Northeast Community College, earning a degree in audio engineering. Following graduation he moved to Portland with his two brothers. He worked as a sound technician with Artist’s Repertory Theater in Portland. David had a love for the outdoors and nature and traveling. He enjoyed photography and playing his guitar. Most of all he enjoyed being with his friends and family.
Survivors include his mother, Glenda (Ralph) Beiermann of Wayne; his father, Gary Petersen of Omaha; brother, Douglas (Natalie) Petersen of Bremerton, Wash.; twin brother, Matthew Petersen and special friend Chika of Kashiwa, Japan; niece, Sophia and her mother, Sayaka Petersen of Kashiwa, Japan; many uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a cousin, Melissa Rogers.
