Jane Lubberstedt

    Jane Lubberstedt, 68, of Denison, Iowa, formerly of Wayne, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. The Rev. Kristin Van Stee will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church with family present. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.  
    Memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne.
    Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
    Jane Ann Lubberstedt was born Sept. 8, 1949 on a farm near Coleridge to Gordon and Alice (Kastrup) Starks. She graduated from Coleridge High School in 1967, and Stewarts School of Cosmetology in Sioux City, Iowa. Jane married Bill Lubberstedt on July 20, 1973 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne. The couple farmed near Wayne and Jane owned and operated Jane’s Beauty Shop in Wayne for several years. Following Bill’s death in the fall of 2008, Jane moved into Wayne. She was employed at Ameritas in Wayne where she retired. In December of 2014 she moved to Denison, Iowa to be near family. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
    Survivors include her daughters, Ketta Lubberstedt-Arjes (Jon) of Webster City, Iowa,  Krissy (Ross) Palmer of Gretna and Kellie (Robert) Boettger of Schleswig, Iowa; six  grandchildren; one brother, Jack (Trudy) Starks of Concord; one sister, June Resso of Sioux City, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Gary (Betty) Lubberstedt of Omaha; nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” in 2008; brothers, Jule Starks, Johnny Starks and Jerry Starks.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Jane’s grandchildren, Blake Arjes, Ruthie Palmer, Ella Palmer, Marley Boettger, Hadley Boettger and Finley Boettger.
    Active pallbearers will be Jon Arjes, Ross Palmer, Robert Boettger, Brian Lubberstedt, Gerald Klinetobe Jr. and Ryan Frerichs.
