Larry Skokan, 79, of Wayne, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Edgewood Vista in Norfolk.
Services will be held Monday, April 30 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wayne. The Rev. Kyle Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne with family present. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Skokan family for later designation.

Larry Wayne Skokan was born March 28, 1939 in Bloomfield to Louis and Emeline (Jelen) Skokan. He graduated from Niobrara High School in 1957 and was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, with a Degree in Agriculture. Larry married Vicky Moore on Dec. 3, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Lincoln. He worked as a County Extension Agent while the couple lived in Beaver City, then Alliance, before being transferred to Beatrice. In 1969 they moved to Wayne where Larry managed the Fertilizer plant. Larry was a very hard working man. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and time with friends and family. He loved his grandchildren most. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wayne.
Survivors include his children, Todd (Lisa) Skokan of Omaha and Sonja (Rod) Hunke of Wayne; four grandchildren, Zach and Sam Skokan and Brittney and Nolan Hunke; brother, Robert (Kerrol) Skokan of Verdigre; sisters, Nancy (Greg) Nolan of Elkhorn, and Linda (David) Wallick of Creighton; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vicky in October of 2017; a sister, Phyllis Dannert; and grandson, Nate Skokan.
Pallbearers will be Zach Skokan, Sam Skokan, Nolan Hunke, Michael Moore, Michael Nolan and John Carollo.
