Mardelle M. Koepke

    Mardelle M. Koepke, 74, of Norfolk, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home in Norfolk.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with Rev. Frank Brink officiating. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, also at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk.
 Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements.
    Mardelle M. Koepke was born on June 16, 1943 in Norfolk, to Glenn and Henrietta (Voss) Frink. Mardelle was baptized Oct. 15, 1943 at Zion East Lutheran Church, rural Hoskins and confirmed on June 22, 1958 at Peace Evangelical Church, rural Hoskins. Mardelle attended school at Hoskins Public School to the 10th grade. Then attended school at Norfolk High School. She married William “Bill” Koepke on May 7, 1960 in Yankton, S.D. Mardelle was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk.
After marriage, she and Bill farmed in Pierce and Wayne counties. They moved to Norfolk in 1986. Mardelle worked at Faith Regional from 1986 to 2012 in the materials management department. Mardelle also sold Avon for 40+ years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
    Survivors include two sons Tim Koepke of Hoskins, Todd Koepke of Norfolk, one daughter Tanya (Mark) Wachholtz of Norfolk, grandsons Garrett Koepke of Omaha, Triston and Carson Wachholtz of Norfolk, sister Donna (Don) Asmus of Pierce, sister Marlene Fiehn of Houston, Texas, in-laws Ivan (Karen) Koepke of Pierce, Velda (Leon) Warneke of Norfolk, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband William in August, 2010, one son Troy died in 1993, parents Glenn and Henrietta
    Pallbearers will be Mark Wachholtz, Triston Wachholtz, Carson Wachholtz, Darin Asmus, Garrett Koepke and Don Knee.
