Mark Evetovich, Sr.
Mark Evetovich, Sr., 87 of San Diego, California died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2018 in Scripps Hospital in San Diego, Calif.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at St. Columba Catholic Church in San Diego. Final services, including inurnment, will be held at 1 p.m. at El Camino Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mark Evetovich, Sr. was born in Subotica Croatia on Feb. 23, 1930 to Mihailo and Balog Evetovich. He migrated to California in 1963 and settled in San Jose, Calif. before moving to San Diego in 1969. Mark Sr. worked as the Air Pollution Controller and Engineer for the City of San Diego until his retirement. Mark enjoyed playing tennis, watching soccer and staying active by bike riding and swimming on the San Diego beaches.
Survivors include his wife, Maria of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Silvester (Robin) Evetovich of San Diego, Calif. and Mark (Tammy) Evetovich, Jr. of Wayne and two grandchildren, Emma and Jack Evetovich of Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
