Mylet Habrock, age 93, of Elkhorn formerly of Emerson, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018 at Brookstone Meadows in Elkhorn.
Services will be held Monday, Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. The Rev. Gary Harris and Phil Zweerink will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson.
Memorials may be directed to the Habrock family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Mylet Margaret Habrock was born Sept. 14, 1924 to Henry and Rosie (Schutte) Mueller in Wisner. She graduated from Pender High School and received her teaching certificate from Wayne State College. She taught in the rural schools from 1943-1944. Mylet married Theodore Habrock on Sept. 20, 1945 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. They lived and farmed three miles southwest of Emerson from 1946-1982. Upon retirement they moved one mile south of Emerson until moving to Brookdale-Wayne where Ted passed away in 2016. Mylet then moved to Elk Ridge Village in Elkhorn where she made numerous friends and daily enjoyed cards and games. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved playing cards. Mylet was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for the quilts she made for her family as well as her wonderful pies, angel food cakes and roast beef dinners.
Survivors include her four children, Dean (Karen) Habrock of Sahuarita, Ariz., Gene Habrock of Windsor, Colo., Lorane (Randy) Slaybaugh of Denver, Colo. and Janice (John) Manganaro of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Hansen of Omaha; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore in 2016; daughter-in-law, Pam Habrock; and great-grandson, Brett Habrock.
Pallbearers will be Mylet’s grandsons.
