Nancy Landanger, 82, of Winside, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Carroll. The Rev. Kyle Nelson will officiate. There is no visitation.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Nancy Bonnell Landanger was born Oct. 11, 1935 in Wayne to Ivan and Helen (Thompson) Fickle. She attended Carroll Public Schools. Nancy married Donald Landanger on Jan. 19, 1955, in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple lived near Altona, then in Carroll later moving to their current home in Winside. Nancy worked at Sherwood Medical in Norfolk for 31 years before her retirement. She is a member of the Carroll United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Mary (Carl Sr.) Paustian of Hoskins, Sally (Bill) Anderson of Norfolk and Peggy Paustian of Norfolk; daughter-in-law, Dorothy (Dan) Cradick of Gresham; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Suzanne) Fickle of Spokane, Wash., Richard (Jackie) Fickle of Lincoln, R.I., Charles “Bud” Fickle of Henderson, Ky.; sisters, Marcella Story of Wichita, Kan. and Pat O’Connell of Idaho; sister-in-law, Virginia Fickle of Waterbury; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don, in 2016; son, Donald W. Landanger; son-in-law, Terry Kettler; brothers, Jack Fickle, Babe Fickle; sisters, Peggy Fickle and Dolly Noe.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
