Harder to play in 46th Nebraska Cup Friday
Wayne Country Club PGA pro Troy Harder will be a part of the 46th Nebraska Cup Matches that will be played Friday at Yankee Hill Country Club in Lincoln.
The event annually pits the state’s best amateur golfers against the state’s top professionals in both Four Ball and Singles matches. The Nebraska PGA leads the series 25-20, after the amateurs won for the third time in four years at Norfolk Country Club last year.
The battle for the Nebraska Cup begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the morning Four-Ball matches. Pairings for the morning session will be selected later this week. The event concludes with afternoon singles matches, expected to start around 1:45 p.m. Pairings for the afternoon session will be selected over lunch.
Harder is one of four seniors on the Nebraska PGA team, along with Ted DiGiacomo (Golf Galaxy), Tom Hearn (PGA Tour) and Jim White (Firethorn). Other Nebraska PGA team members are Jonathan Beaver, Landsmeer GC; Justin Herron, Pacific Springs GC; Sam Jonell, Miracle Hill GC; Jon Petersen, Tiburon GC; Ryan Vermeer, Happy Hollow Club; Nick Wanderscheid, Green Valley GC; Chris Wiemers, Stone Creek GC and Shane Zywiec, Highlands GC.
Amateur team members include non-seniors Jay Cottam, Hebron; David Easley, Lincoln; Luke Kluver, Norfolk; Lance Lawson, Norfolk; Philip Maschka, Elkhorn; Travis Minzel, Lincoln; Ryan Nietfeldt, Elkhorn and Alex Schaake, Omaha. Senior members are David Clouse, Friend; Carl Johnson, Omaha; Mike Krumland, Columbus and John Sajevic, Fremont.
