WSC track and field camps coming
Wayne State College’s track and field team will be hosting two track and field camps during February.
The pole vault camp will be held on Sunday in the WSC Rec Center Indoor Track from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. The camp is for pole vaulters from grades 7-12. Cost is $30 for the session.
On Saturday, Feb. 22, they will be hosting a track and field camp for athletes in grades 9-12 which will cover sprints, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and middle and long distance running. The camp is designed to teach athlete proper technique and drill work, practice proper mechanics, and give assistance in a workout environment from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. in the WSC Rec Center Indoor Track. Instructors will be WSC Track & Field coaches with assistance from current Wildcat track and field athletes. Cost is $50 if registered by Feb. 19, and $75 after Feb. 19. All campers receive a WSC Camp T-shirt.
