Tana Sue (T.S.) Tietsort
Tana Sue (T.S.) Tietsort, 64, of Oklahoma City, Okla. died suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life was held at her mother's home in Oklahoma City.
Tanna Sue (T.S.) Tietsort was born June 25, 1955 in Wayne to Mark and Donna (Carlson) Tietsort. She grew up in Nebraska and Colorado, attending schools in Cozad, Neb., Boulder, Colo. and Lincoln, Neb. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973 and attended Wayne State College and the University of Omaha.
T.S. began her career with Marriott in 1975 at the Worldwide Reservation Center in Omaha. She advanced quickly and moved to El Paso, Texas and worked in the front office. From there she transferred to Salt Lake City Marriott, then moved to Orlando, Fla. and worked at the Orlando World Center Marriott Hotel. She transferred to Marriott's Vacation Club Time Share Division and was general manager of Royal Palms and Sable Palms in Orlando, Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, Va. and Marriott's Mountain Valley Lodge in Breckenridge, Colo. She also worked in Hilton Head, S.C. Tana did contract work for Marriott in Aruba, Hawaii, Majorca, Spain and Shadow Ridge. Her last full-time job with Marriott was Senior Project Manager at Shadow Ridge Time Share in Palm Dessert, Calif. She retired in April of 2015 and moved to Oklahoma City, still doing special projects for Marriott. She was a member of The Quarter Century-Marriott V.I.P. Club.
She enjoyed fishing with her father and brothers, riding horses and was an avid swimmer and reader. She loved her cats Isabella and Francis who are now in Cousin Kathy's care in Houston. She also enjoyed traveling. Among the things she did not like were meat loaf and cold weather.
Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Mark (deceased) and Donna Tietsort of Oklahoma, City; brothers, Terry of Oklahoma City, Ron, Jennifer, Noah and Hope of Custer, S.D. and Tim of Omaha; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Taylor Brianna, in 1996; her father, Mark, in 1992; and grandparents Merle and Alvena Tietsort and Don and Rose Carlson.
