Wilbur Heithold, 85, of Wayne, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at Wayne Countyview Care & Rehabilitation in Wayne.
Services will be held Monday, Aug. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne. The Rev. Michael Buchhorn will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with family present. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Wilbur Otto Heithold was born Oct. 2, 1933 on a farm near Wayne to Otto and Elenora (Claussen) Heithold. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Wayne High School. Wilbur married Janet Wait on Dec. 28, 1951 at a Lutheran Church in Lincoln. The couple farmed near Wayne where they raised cattle, hogs, and crops for many years. They moved into Wayne in 2003. Wilbur was involved in farming until a year ago. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his children, Gary (Brenda) Heithold of Plano, Texas, Cindy (Regg) Lubberstedt of Dixon, Kevin Heithold of Wayne, Deb (Mike) Mascoe of Lincoln and Mark (Kara) Heithold of Wayne; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Wobig of Lincoln; nieces and nephews.
He as preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet on Feb. 28, 2017; brother, Edmond (LaVerne) Heithold, sister, Ardene (Orville) Nelson; and brother-in-law, Dean Wobig.
Pallbearers will be Wilbur and Janet’s grandsons, Todd Lubberstedt, Eric DeVall, Bryce Heithold, Brady Heithold, Ben Kurpgeweit, Jared Heithold, Clint French and Ty Steinkuhler.
