Police says to watch out for counterfeit bills

The Wayne Area Economic Development Office has been alerted by the Wayne Police Department that counterfeit $20 bills are being circulated at Wayne businesses. It appears that some of the fake bills are being used to purchase cash cards.
The police department said a number of reports of this type of activity were reported in the community on Thursday.
No other details have been released at this time.
Businesses are reminded to review their cash handling procedures and contact the Wayne Police Department  at (402) 375-2626 with further questions or to report suspicious activity.
